Alexandre "Xandinho" Izidro, born in Brazil February 18th 1979 is a mixed martial arts fighter. He started to train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at age 14 and got his black belt at 20. He is a member of Brazilian Top Team and competes in the Lightweight division. He is the current Cage Warriors Lightweight World Champion.
Student of one of the most talented Murilo Bustamante's black belts Ze Marcello, the Niteroi native Alexandre Izidro, known as Xandinho entered the Mixed Martial Arts world almost accidentally. An opportunity in 2003 at Shooto Brazil 2, showed a fighter titled as "not prepared for this game". At that time people commented that "a playboy" such as him couldn't fight professional Mixed Martial Arts. That impression was totally wrong about Xandinho, who had humble roots, and was so far from the playboy's image. He capitalized that excess of badmouthing about his first fight to train hard enough and grab a unanimous decision 4 months later over a kickboxing champion at Shooto Brazil 3. With little experience in Mixed Martial Arts, Xandinho didn't have many opportunities of fighting in Brazil again, so a chance of moving to UK arose and he took it. Sharing his time between teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and fighting Mixed Martial Arts, Xandinho became the current Cage Warriors World
Lightweight champion, a title that he has much pride in. Three years later, in 2007, he moved again, this time to Hong Kong, to become the first and only Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt and professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter in the small Chinese territory where he shares his time teaching his students at BTT HK (Brazilian Top Team) and training for his next Mixed Martial Arts fights. Xandinho is a member of the famous Brazilian Top Team
